Happy 50th Birthday!

My dad celebrated his 50th birthday on September 26th. He told me and mom he did not want a party he just wanted to spend time with her and the kids. Well what do you think me and mom decided to do??? We planned a surprise party :) He said he didn't have any idea until he got to the restaurant and he saw my car. He had a good time and we had alot of people show up. Thank you to everyone that came and supported him on his big day. Here are a few pictures from the big day.

Yukky Saturday

On Saturday my Iphone decided to stop working on its own (what a shock). Half my screen stopped working and it was shutting itself on and off. I spent 5 hours on the phone with 3 different Apple techs that told me oh thats fixable we need to do 4 different steps first. Well after all that time and repeating the steps 30 times my Iphone was still not working. I set up an appt with the Apple store at Northpark and we headed to get my phone repaired there. After all that lets just say I got the brand new Iphone 3GS. I took a couple pictures of the kids while walking around Northpark. They were so happy to get out of the house and the rain.

Happy 6th Birthday Shane!

I am trying to get everything caught up. Bare with me for a little while longer please. Shane turned 6 on August 26th and he is really happy to be 6 and not 5 anymore. He tells me all the time I'm not 5 anymore mom I'm 6 now. I am a big boy now and mom you know what Leila is still a baby but not me anymore...lol. Some of the things that come out of his mouth. We celebrated his birthday 3 times this year (gosh) By the way I am broke now. First celebration was at the Great Wolf Lodge back at the beginning of August, Second celebration we had at my moms (pictures below) and the third was on Wednesday his actuall birthday at the local El Jacalito Mexican Restuarant. He was so happy and excited to celebrat so many times. To be 6 again :)

Shane just insisted that he get this cake. I wanted to make my own you know the kind that comes in a box and you put the icing on it...lol but he said no I want a cake from Wal-Mart. He carried this cake the whole time we were at Wal-Mart.

Great Wolf Lodge

On August 17th we took a family vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine. I have heard it on the radio like a hundred times so I told Del this is what we need to do for the kids since summer is almost over and Shane's birthday is coming up. They have a indoor and outdoor water park just for kids. It is really fun and relaxing. Shane and Brooke had so much fun and it was just really nice to get out of the house for a few days. Shane played the Magi Quest game the whole time we were there and Brooke well she just wanted to run and play. Some of the pictures aren't that great because I used a water camera the whole time. June Happenings

On June 4Th me and Del had the opportunity to go on our first river trip ever. We went with a group of friends for the weekend without the kids. It was nice to just float and relax. It was our first trip alone without the kids and it was different. We were so ready to get home to see the kids on Sunday. I posted a few photos of Del and our tent that we stayed in for four nights. I was so ready to get home to my bed

Also, on June 14Th I celebrated my 27Th birthday. I have the best gift ever, a twin sister (Tina) and we celebrated together this year. We went to Campbell to see my grandparents and hang out for a little while and then headed to Dallas to have dinner with some friends.

Hello Everyone, I am new to this blog stuff so bare with me. I want to do this for the kids and family so that everyone can see how big the kids are getting. Life is crazy busy right now. Shane turns 6 in August ( I can't believe that, it seems like I just had him) and will be entering kindergarten, and is so excited. His speech is picking up tremendously and has improved dramatically over the past year. Brooke just turned 2 and is such a handful. She is such a daddy's girl though. We are all doing great.
