2009 CHRISTMAS PICTURES

Here are our Christmas pictures for 2009. Its really hard to get the kids to sit still and really get a good picture, but this year they did great!!! David did a great job and the kids love him. We had to do them late in the month cause of the weather but they turned out great, I am super happy with all of them. I hope you all like them.

Christmas Party

I decided to go and join Shane and his class for their Christmas party again this year. I bought some cookies and Shane handed them out and then he wanted to get some pictures with his best buddies in his class. We had a great time.

I can’t believe Christmas is already here!! Every year after Thanksgiving we get all our Christmas movies and sort through our favorites and start watching them. We absolutely love Christmas movies! We all have different favorites. Here is our top 5 Christmas movies.

1. A Christmas Story - This is Del's favorite by far. I love this movie but not my absolute favorite. The kids are still kind of young to understand but they think its hilarious when Ralphie gets his tongue stuck on the pole. Shane loves the part when he gets his Red Ryder BB gun. He wants one so bad but we are going to wait a few years on that one.

2. How The Grinch Stole Christmas - Now this one is my absolute favorite. Brooke really doesn't like the Grinch but we just skip the scary parts and she is just fine. Shane watches it every night before bed. Both versions are perfect for Christmas.

3. The Santa Clause - This one comes on TV alot during the Christmas holiday and the kids love it. Shane thinks Tim Allen is so funny and really believes he is Santa. Brooke likes when Santa delivers the presents. It is just a magical Christmas movie, it makes you believe there really is a Santa.

4. The Polar Express - Ever since this movie came out we have to watch it. I had the book growing up and passed it down to my kids. It's a magical movie. It looks so real and the kids love the train and the Santa at the end. Brooke always thinks that Santa is coming to our house when he leaves at the end.

5. Home Alone - Who doesn't love Home Alone?? We love this movie, we could watch it over and over again and never get sick of it. I always wanted to stay home alone for Christmas just to see what would happen and imagine all the things I could do, but now that I am older I realize the real meaning of Christmas and couldn't imagine staying home in the world we live in today. It's just not Christmas without watching this movie though.

Snowman

This year in kindergarten they made snowmen out of paper plates. We all did it together as a family and had so much fun. Shane picked out most of the items, Brooke wanted to candy on the whole thing....lol This is what it looked like.

Black Friday

Every year me and mom venture out the day of Thanksgiving to get our Christmas shopping underway. This year was even better cause Tina came along. While everyone at my house and my moms were still asleep me, Tina and mom went shopping (3 am). We hit up Kohls, Target, Walmart, Macy's, Victoria Secret and JC Penny. I think we hit up a few more but these were the main ones that I spent alot of money at....lol I can honestly say that I pretty much cleanup that day and you couldn't even see out of my mom's jeep when we were done. It was crazy. We had a good time and can't wait till next year.

Thanksgiving 09

Its Thanksgiving time already it seems like we just finished celebrating Thanksgiving. Ever since Del and I have had kids we decided that everyone has to come to our house for Thanksgiving instead of us loading up everything and the kids (its much easier). This Thanksgiving was great we spent the day eating and watching football. Tina and the family drove in from Fort Hood to celebrate with us and mine and Del's parents came over for a nice warm dinner. We have so much to be thankful for this year.

Early Thanksgiving

We had an early Thanksgiving this year with my dad's side of the family on Sunday. It was so much fun. They live on about 500 acres in Seagoville and the kids love to run and play with all the farm animals they have. I can't wait for next year. Here are some pictures from that day.
